Accounts Assistant

LLamasoft is a growing global Company with an office in Towcester, Milton Keynes. The Office is a small environment with friendly colleagues, comfortable amenities, and onsite parking is provided.  This role will commence in April 2017 and is initially a 9 month Fixed Term Contract to cover a Maternity Leave period.

This role is focused on supporting the in-house Accountant in the course of their work either directly, helping them complete daily tasks, or may work indirectly, compiling information. To be successful in this role, the candidate must have strong inistrative skills as well as accounting knowledge and an understanding of financial concepts. This role relies on knowledge of the basics of accounting terminology and accounting systems.

Role Duties

  • Credit Card Reconciliations between Credit Card statement and expense system ‘Expensify’.
  • Importing of Credit Card transactions onto the accounting system ‘NetSuite’.
  • Reconciling ledgers and balance sheet items.
  • Completing supplier setup forms for new customers.
  • Maintaining the sale ledger and chasing outstanding debts.
  • Issuing invoices on a monthly basis and liaising with account management for information each month.
  • Updating Sales Force system with invoicing and payment information on a daily basis.
  • Exporting and collating reimbursable expenses each month for the payment run.
  • Preparing and posting monthly journals.
  • Assisting with year-end audits.

 

About You

You will be proactive in your approach to your work and enjoy a challenge when solving problems to improve systems and processes. The following experience/skills are required:

  • Minimum of 2 years Accounts experience,
  • Highly computer literate with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide accurate and timely information and communicate figures to non-finance staff.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Ability to detect inconsistencies.
  • Knowledge of accounting rules and legislation.
  • Good prioritisation skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
