ETL/Data Integration Product Manager

The Role:

As Product Manager, you will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand customer problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with other Product Managers to identify synergistic opportunities and multi-product solutions that benefit customers.  You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working with the sales channel and key customers. Job Description:

  • Managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going communications to customers and prospective customers.
  • Prioritizing requirements from various stakeholders to deliver the most value for both the company and our customers.
  • Leading Product Development and Applied Research teams through market requirements, product definition, and positioning to deliver important product capabilities that solve critical customer problems.
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape to better position the product and guide future development.
  • Ensure on-going product performance related to overall product quality and achieving product revenue goals.

The Qualifications:

  • 2 to 5 years of product management experience in an enterprise software product or an equivalent role. Consulting in relevant areas also considered.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: relational database management systems, big data, analytic techniques, machine learning, ERP systems
  • Knowledge of data validation, ETL, or data management tools such as: Informatica, SSIS, Alteryx, Pentaho
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or relevant professional experience
    • Master’s Degree in Data Analytics preferred
  • This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (25%)
