Director of Marketing

Seeking a hands-on Leader of Demand Generation to grow our revenue, shorten our sales cycle, and support all marketing programs. A critical, influential marketing role, this person will be responsible for filling the marketing funnel and converting leads to opportunities. This position will report to the marketing Vice President and be closely aligned with senior marketing leaders, executive team as well as lead a team of direct reports.

We’re looking for an A-player to rely on events, thought leadership, PR, to drive engagement with clients and prospects in close alignment with the Product Marketing Director. The ideal candidate will take ownership of making the best out of these assets and have expert understanding in the areas of marketing automation, PR and media, Social media and blogging, 3rd party and LLamasoft-sponsored events. The senior manager of demand generation will own the marketing funnel and deliver metrics and analysis around it in close collaboration with the Marketing Business Ops team. Due to the close alignment with Directors of Product Marketing, Business Operations and GEO Marketing directors, the role requires a unique blend of self-directed/self-starter with the ability to collaborate closely with a team of marketing directors and cross-functionally across the company as well as upwards with Senior Leadership. 

Our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of end-to-end demand generation strategies and a proven track record in building, executing, and delivering high impact, ROI-driven lead generation programs that materially impact the bottom line. This person will also be responsible for creating campaign assets and have good writing skills.

Job Description:

  • Overall visibility and orchestration of the NA Marketing plan, including events, lead generation campaigns, product launch activities and analyst events
  • Collaborate with communications team on strategy and execution for lead generation / third-party campaign plan and media buying
  • Work with business development/sales team to analyze and measure campaign performance and plans for improvement and collaborate on campaign follow-up
  • Responsibility for working with marketing operations team to ensure marketing team success metrics and measurement for each functional area
  • Manage overall NA event strategy and plan and work with NA events manager to ensure right mix of events and successful execution and measurement
  • Work with PR and communications managers to coordinate analyst and lead gen promotional activities
  • Work with Customer Success team to build out programs and events for customer retention/upsell
  • Overall responsibility for annual SummerCon user conference, working in concert with event committee
  • Put in place process for sharing NA content and assets with international marketing leaders for localization
  • Work with international marketing leaders to ensure consistency in events approach and design elements to demonstrate LLamasoft voice globally as appropriate
  • Provide marketing leadership presence with marketing team and in corporate office; welcome visitors, facilitate executive team interactions, attend recruiting and other local events on occasion

Required Skills: 

  • 10+ years B2B experience required, with 3 or more in demand generation leadership.
  • Experience with coaching and developing individuals, and managing a high performing team of contributors.
  • Experience working in (ideally) or extremely closely with sales and revenue teams.
  • Understanding of high tech and/or supply chain space
  • 3 or more years working in Salesforce and Pardot or related tools.
  • Ability to execute independently, yet collaboratively.
  • Hard-working self-starter able to navigate a fast-paced environment while still providing attention to detail and approaching tasks conscientiously.
  • Self-sufficient, capable of working in small teams with a lot of responsibility, and comfortable taking direction
